We just finished hand-tying the final fringe along the flatweave edge of this custom Beni Mrirt rug, and the result is nothing short of breathtaking. Craft & Technique :

We crafted this unique carpet using a technique that combines two distinct weaving worlds: a ultra-dense double-knotted plush field in the center framed by a tight, structured flatweave outer border. Hand-knotted from premium sheep's wool harvested high in the Atlas Mountains, the central pile offers an extraordinarily thick, velvety depth underfoot. Stepping onto this authentic handmade rug barefoot lets you instantly feel the heavy weight, softness, and rich cushioning that only a genuinely hand-knotted wool rug can deliver.

Pattern & Motif :

The visual flow across the pile field is really something to admire. Starting at the top, the linework forms a delicate, freeform organic webbing that gradually shifts and settles into a structured geometric diamond lattice across the lower half. Framing this entire tactile field is a smooth, neatly woven flatweave border that grounds the plush pile, finished at the bottom end with a long row of traditional knotted fringe tassels.
